STONEWALL JACKSON  is the most famous name mentioned in his book.

In this hard struggle there were a whole lot of good men slain, and among them General J. T. Jackson, who was a very able man and a man whom most of his men liked.  (Page 33)

Well on Sunday, the 17th of May, Dr. Lacy preached the funeral Of Gen. J.T. Jackson.  His text was: 'I have fought a good fight, have finished my course'.  Etc.  (Page 34)

I will be adding names that Tom Reed had contact with as I have time.  Some person may find their relative mentioned in this book.  He evidently kept a good record of the people he met.  Most of the peoples names are people that helped him along the way such as providing a meal for him.
